5. Thin Pizza Crust Dough

An easy, handmade pizza dough recipe. Toppings are up to you!

Prep to plate time: 30 min
Servings: 1 pizza pie

Materials:

  • 1 packet Dry Yeast (2-1/4 tsp)
  • 1/4 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Honey – optional

Protocol:

  1. Combine yeast, sugar and 3/4 cup of lukewarm water in a small bowl and let sit for 6-8 min
  2. In a large bowl or standing mixer, combine flour and salt
  3. Pour the water combination in with the flour and mix until evenly distributed
  4. Add oil and honey and continue to mix
  5. Remove from bowl and place on a lightly floured surface. Knead for 2-3 min by hand
  6. Roll out by hand for a 12-inch base
  7. Place on a lightly oiled oven pan and press out dough to form a slight lip
  8. Add sauce then toppings. Can bake at 450°F for about 10 min
